Starting a blog for my own BrainUpkeep

I consider myself a life-long learner. That was even before going through the book “StrengthsFinder” at work several years ago, which ranked “Learner” as my #2 strength. I very much believe in the process of continually learning and trying new things, whether broadening my own skills/knowledge or helping others gain access to opportunities to learn.

I spend a lot of time learning new things and new skills, or learning more about topics I’m already familiar with. I consider it essential to upkeep of a healthy brain and intellect. Combined with a job that requires me to remember a great deal of information at all times, I sometimes feel like I forget, or at least can’t easily pull the relevant non-work nugget out of my brain. I feel like the blogging process could help better cement gained knowledge, not to mention create a nice content search function for me. 🙂  I’ve also been heavily encouraged over the last few years to blog and share some of what I am learning. It’s a time commitment I’m not entirely sure I can keep, but I want to try.
